Shania Twin | The Shania Twain Experience

TICKETS

Donna Huber presents The SHANIA TWAIN Experience! Even Shania Twain had commented that after seeing a poster of Donna, "I thought that was me!!! Donna is the best Shania Twain Tribute out there." Donna put in countless hours practicing to sing like Shania, watching her videos over and over, studying to emulate her moves and the way she presented herself. Donna met with an agent in the music business and after listening to her sing, and not to mention her uncanny resemblance to one of country music’s most beautiful and successful women, it was obvious that Donna was about to embark on something that would change her life forever. They worked to put a band together, practiced for a few months, and the rest is history. Donna has been on the road since March of 1996 as the most successful Tribute Act in Canada and throughout the United States and Europe.

Barbra & Frank | The Concert That Never Was!

TICKETS

It is unlikely that the two powerhouse voices of the century would have ever shared the same stage...until now!

They never worked together, exactly, except when they taped a duet in separate recording sessions, but it‟s tantalizing to think what it would have been like to have Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra teamed up for a concert tour. Just imagine the possibilities.

Would one have outshone the other? Would their onstage banter have been friendly or a bit snippy? Here they together Live At SKYE!

The THOMAS IAN NICHOLAS Band

TICKETS

Thomas Ian Nicholas is an American film actor, singer, musician, producer, director, and writer. Nicholas is best known for playing Henry Rowengartner in Rookie of the Year and Kevin Myers in the American Pie film series. Recently, he played Eugene in Nicole Holofcener's "Please Give" winner of the 2011 Indie Spirit Robert Altman Award. He also appeared on an episode of ABC'S Grey's Anatomy as Jeremiah. "I started acting when I was 6 years old. I have always enjoyed making people laugh or smile or think" he says. Nicholas released his debut album, Without Warning January 15, 2008. and his follow up album "Heroes Are Human" on June 1, 2010.
The new record definitely juxtaposes emotions in a seamless fashion. Thomas allows fans deeper into his world as well. From starring in everything from Rookie of the Year to the American Pie series, he’s been a part of the pop culture zeitgeist since he was a kid, and his new music reflects his experience. “On the new record, we want to show that soul we have on stage. I feel like the first record was mixed to be ‘radio-ready’ in some ways. This is raw. People don’t feel like they can typically interact with an actor, but I’m doing this 100 percent myself. There’s a pre-conceived notion that actors are untouchable, but I’m running all of my sites and answering people on facebook and twitter. I’m not going to have someone pretend they’re me. There’s a big difference between how music speaks to your soul and how movies interact with you. You don’t drive down the road and suddenly have a memory of your favorite movie. You get a song that plays in your head and you have a visceral connection to the moment.”

Idol In The Skye | Junior Idol - 1st Round

TICKETS

Get ready for Season 2 of Senior and Junior Idol! Jr. Idol is open to those 16 years of age and younger and Senior Idol is for those 50 years of age and up. Season 5 of our Idol in The Skye competition ended recently and this year saw record numbers audition and ultimately make it to The Platinum Room stage. The talent level was the best yet and now, we’re gearing up for the second year of Senior and Junior IDOL. Idol in The Skye has grown into the Valley of the Sun’s largest talent competition.

Our goal is to encourage up and coming local talent to pursue their dreams of performing. Contestants compete each week as they work with a live band and a packed house in The Platinum Room. Industry professionals are on hand throughout the competition to critique and mentor contestants.

Here are a few reminders for ALL our singers:

1. Find songs that are best for your voice. Listen to material until you find a song that fits your vocal range and personality.

2. Ooze charisma. Popularity as a singer increases with personality. If you have as much (or more) charisma as singing technique, you'll have a better chance to win over judges and audience members at SKYE.

3. Hire a singing coach. There seems to have been a spike in the number of teachers and an experienced coach will help you choose the right song and focus on impressing the judges.

4. Be original. Copying another singer's style won't work in a singing competition. You have to wow the judges and the audience with your own approach.

5. Emote. No matter how good your singing voice may be, no one will be moved to vote for you if you don't show emotion.
